Recreation Supervisor (Full-time)

This is an administrative, supervisory position working under the direction of the Director of Recreation.  The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for Fitness Center Management, group exercise programming, youth and adult programs and leagues, teen programming and a variety of general recreation programming and special events.  Development, implementation and evaluation of all classes, workshops and events and services relative to the program areas assigned.
Skills and Requirements:  The candidate should possess the ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, strong leadership skills, creativity, have a strong knowledge of staff and volunteer development as well as have basic knowledge of fitness equipment and operation and have the ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees and the general public.

Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited 4-year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation or related field and have 2-3 years of working with athletics.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.  Weekends and weeknights may be required to ensure proper supervision of programs during busy times of the year.
